Pre-requisites to pursue higher education after Civil Engineering

What are the prerequisite after graduation to pursue higher education?

The prerequisite are as follows:

1. Student should have high marks more than 60% in B.E/B.Tech degree course for higher studies.

2. They should also have a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score to pursue higher studies in the relevant discipline. The score should match with high percentile so that they can get better opportunities in good institutes.

3. GATE scores will allow the students to opt for M.Tech degree courses in very good institutes namely IIT and IISc.

4. They should have very good communication as well as logical and analytical skills to be selected during the interviews.

5. For M.Tech 70% weightage is given to interviews and GATE score with 30% is given to academic merit.

6. GATE can be given by all the people appearing for final or pre-final year of exams in their respective departments to select the higher studies options.
