Sample volunteer letter for community service

My name is XYZ; B.Sc. Environmental Science graduate, keen towards volunteering my potential in serving the stepping stones of our future India.

I went through the details in your organization’s website ( and understood the requirement for volunteers, to take care of the various homeless kids being sheltered by yourselves.

I am eager to extend my helping hand to teach them with the Conversational English and imparting basic health education, required for the day-to-day life. I would love to spend my time with these children who expect nothing more than our true affection and care.

I have an experience of working with the non-profit organization, serving the flood devastated areas last season.

I am enclosing my CV herewith and awaiting your reply.

Thanking you.

My name is XYZ. I have done my M.A. in social work from Tata Institute of Social Science and also completed my B.Ed. I comprehend from your website that you require volunteers for your esteemed orphanage.

Recently graduated, I have been on a lookout for work where I could be of some one’s service and bring a smile to people’s faces, in other words serve humanity. I have always loved kids and enjoy being around them.
I would like to inform you that I am very much interested to be a volunteer at ABC orphanage and provide my affection and care to those adorable kids.

I believe this is one of the best jobs I could have and quench my thirst of doing social work. I understand that work at the orphanage would involve teaching the kids various subjects, personality development and basic health education. I assure you that I have the necessary qualifications and skills to do so.

I am enclosing my CV herewith, and hoping to join the team soon.

Await a positive response. Thanking you in anticipation.
