Studying law after XIIth standard

How can I study law just after passing out of XIIth standard?


Earlier students could only study law after completing their graduation. However, now there are integrated BBA LLB courses offered by various institutes where in the students can directly specialise in law and pass out. The duration of these courses is 5 years.

The integrated BA LLB course provides both traditional as well as modern branches for specialisation. The traditional branches include:
- Civil Law
- Criminal Law
- Corporate Law
- Taxation
- Labour and Election etc.

The modern branches of specialisation cover:
- Cyber law
- Intellectual property rights
- Clinical legal education
- International Law

How can one get into a National Law University?


There are 14 National Law Universities in India at the moment and they choose their candidates based on the performance in CLAT exam. CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. They are chosen by one of these universities based on their score in the test.
