Tell me in detail about CPT, IPCC and CA exams.

Let’s go deeper and talk as to what all does CPT, IPCC and CA comprises of.

CPT comprises of four subjects namely, accounting, mercantile laws, general economics and quantitative aptitude. Anyone who has passed class X may get themselves enrolled with the Institute for CPT. CPT is an objective type of test of 200 marks (with negative marking). CPT is also held in five cities abroad. Someone who has passed CPT and XII/equivalent may join the accounting technician course (ATC) or IPCC. Then a student has to successfully complete a nine months of study course, with 35 hours orientation programme and 100 hours of information technology training (ITT) before appearing in ATE or IPCC.

While undergoing the CA final course and serving the last one year of internship, students undergo General Management and Communication Skills (GMCS) course for 15 days. Students who pass all these exams may enrol into ICAI and are qualified Chartered Accountants.
