Viom Networks Leads The Way With NEDO's Help: Tapping Renewable Energy Sources

Renewable energy is a good answer for all the problems plaguing the world when it comes to ecology and environment. Companies are taking tentative steps towards tapping renewable energy sources. This can have a good impact on the environment as well as the health of the people.

A telecom tower companu called Viom Networks is working with NEDO (The New Energy and Industrial Technology Department) to redue diesel consumption at some of its sites. NEDO is based in Japan. Viom Networks is located in Gurgaon, India. This is the perfect partnership for reducing fossil fuel consumption. NEDO is a public management organization and it is seeking to help VIOM networks to tap renewable energy sources.

It is the largest public management organization in Japan for promoting research and development and deployment of industrial, energy and environmental technologies. NEDO has already initiated a study to examine the number of sites where it can begin working and the steps which can be taken to use renewable technology here.

Alternative technology and non-renewable energy sources can have tremendous benefits for any industry. NEDO is also promoting remote control or management for the mobile phone towers. Investments in technology and energy savings will reap a rich harvest for those who want to use renewable sources to fuel their operations.

The best part about using renewable sources of energy is that it ensures people are safe and healthy. Fossil fuels generate poisonous gases which cause diseases and ailments. Renewable energy is a clean source. It promotes wellbeing of the earth and its inhabitants. Viom Networks is the second largest telecom tower in the country and it has over 42,000 sites.

In a commendable move, Viom Network has ensured that 21,000 sites under it are not using diesel generators anymore. NEDO and Viom Network will work towards reducing diesel consumption as well as operational costs. The company is making tremendous efforts to redue dependence on generators for a continuous power supply to the towers.

Solar energy and other renewable sources could be the way out for telecom tower companies in India. Media reports and experts estimate that over 350,000 telecom towers are there in India and quite a few of them are not connected to the power grid.

While technology is moving forward, those who rely on fossil fuels are moving backward. Energy derived from fossil fuels are detrimental to the health of the environment and the people. Commerical use of fossil fuels will only create further global warming. It is a time bomb that is ticking and can explode any day.

If companies want to promote a positive image so that they attract clients, they need to demonstrate a responsibility to the environment. Nature is bountiful and ever giving. All the earth requires in return is a responsible attitude from mankind. Commercial enterprises which want to promote fossil fuel use at the cost of people's health are also endangering their image. If renewable sources of energy are tapped, money can be saved and so can lives. That should be enough incentive for the corporate sector worldwide to change its ways. If not, their mistake will have the costliest repurcussion-the destruction of the earth.
