What are the most important things for you as a manager?

The two things which should be most important for a manager to succeed in his role are:
a.) His team should be happy and keep performing
b.) The project he is working on with his team is successfully finished with minimum problems.

  • There are plenty, to be very honest. When you are in charge you have to make sure that everything keeps running smooth and that your team's work represents your capabilities as their manager. Keep the answer short since you don't want to be narrating a list of things good managers do. Just the important ones that would click right into the requirement would do the trick.

"I believe that when I am in charge of shaping the image of my company, I need to keep the picture big enough to take in new initiatives and strategies. My team should be in sync with my ideas and I need to earn their trust to be able to work together for good."
"My team's openness matters the most to me. Together we can only make the work more productive if there is transparency regarding their capabilities and ideas regarding the project. I can motivate and encourage my team to perform better only when they are comfortable enough to have open dialogues with me."
