What do you know about us?

Research the company and its business a bit before appearing for the interview. You don’t need to know everything inside out but having a fair idea about the company makes you appear interested in the position, to be taken seriously.

Your answer this question again demonstrates Go though annual reports, the corporate newsletter, and contacts you know at the company or its suppliers, advertisements, articles about the company in the trade press.

  • When an employer asks you this question, it is totally intended to check your interest in the job. They are not particularly pleased about hiring someone who randomly clicked on the "apply" button on some job portal so make a good effort to research about them before you step into their office. Go through the company's website, the "about us" column alone will help a great deal and by that we do not mean that you mug up the whole thing and produce the same. Make a note of what the company aims at and its areas of interests. Check into the Linkedin profile of the employer. Look into the annual reports of the company and make notes. Produce the positive points in your answer and give a hint that you aim to know them even better by working with them.

Researching on the company before applying or before facing the personal interview is a good practice. You can know about the employer and gauge if you have a better prospect while working with them.
