Pursuing BSC Nursing from private or unaided college can cost anything between Rs. 50000/- to Rs. 180000/- every year and the fees of GNM course can range between Rs. 45000/- to Rs. 140000/- per annum.

Are there any setbacks of nursing profession?


Nursing profession in India is a struggling field to work. On one side with acute shortage of nursing staff in medical hospitals and institutes there appears a bright opportunity of job opening in nursing. On the other side being considered as a stigmatized and low status profession still in many parts of the country, nursing is a challenging and demanding profession. Working conditions and job satisfaction is limited as in-house training, pay offered and working conditions provided are inadequate sometimes. As nurses have to work in shifts, including night duties, nursing job becomes stressful. Bing a thankless job, nurses has to deal with the effect the profession has on the psyche and health.
