Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is a system of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent. It is also a form of alternative medicine. It is an ancient system of medicine, which traces its roots to Vedic period, Ayurveda stresses on holistic health, where in, it not only provides palliative and curative medicines, but also plays a crucial role in prevention of recurring diseases. The techniques of Ayurveda allow you to take advantage of the natural healing capabilities of the human body and nature. The treatment includes: eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms, increasing resistance to disease, reducing worry and increasing harmony in the patient’s life. Ayurveda is no more a treatment of folk practices today. It has evolved as a full- fledged system of medical science with multi-specialty treatment centers and highly equipped medical colleges.
