What position would you prefer while working on a project?

This question is for you to answer based on the skills and qualities you have. If you have the capability to handle different positions, discuss that also in the interview.

  • I am comfortable with both the positions, team leader as well as team player. But the position for now that I most prefer is team player because as I am fresher so I want to do my best with my knowledge and skills.

  • You applied for the position and you are sitting there facing the interview, clearly implying that you want to work in the position offered. Taking that into consideration and depending on whether the position requires you to be a team player or a lead, answer the question giving a clear idea that you are interested in what they are offering you.
If you are looking forward to be actively participating with varied roles, mention that with a clear depiction that you have more inclination towards a particular position but would render support whichever way the situation demands.

If you are comfortable with a particular position only, do mention that in a gentle way. Show them how your skills can be beneficial while you get to work in that position. You can give examples of previous projects where you took the position and excelled in handling the work.

If you are a fresher looking forward to begin as a team player, do mention that you believe in escalating your knowledge, experience and responsibility.
