I am a student of 10+2 commerce and my strong subjects are accounts and financial studies. I have heard that with focus on these subjects, I can become a finance analyst. Please help me choose the right career for me after school. Should I go for BCom or BBA to become a financial analyst?

Financial analyst could be an excellent career for you as you have already mentioned that accounts and financial studies are the subjects you excel in. Try improvising more in these subjects since these are the stronger demands for a career as a financial analyst. After 10+2, you can go for either BCom for BBA depending on your interests; either ways you can be a financial analyst. You can start your preparations for CA or CFA to make your accounts and financial studies more efficient and to go ahead to become a financial analyst.

You must possess good mathematical skills, logical skills, reasoning and deep understanding of finance to be able to compete for this position. Since there is good job prospect and demand in this career, lots of youngsters aspires to become financial analyst, hence you must prepare yourself to face a good competition.
