  • This is not as simple a question as it might seem. It's a trick. The skills needed for the job should already be in you to get you qualified for the position. Why are they still asking you this question? This is a lie detecting question. You must have answered in previous questions about how suitable you are for the position and how good are your skills that make a part of the qualities they are looking for. Now for this question, if you answer with a few skills out of those, it would clearly mean that you are not so good in it. Why else would you want to develop that particular skill if you are already good at it?

If you have some weaknesses, like one might not be very good at communication, you can say so and add that you are already working on it and intend to improve it. But make sure that you haven't mentioned that skill in your resume or while answering a previous question. If you have mentioned all the skills that are required for the position in your resume, try being diplomatic with your answer. You can say that you believe in improving and learning always and hence you would like to further enhance some of the skills (mention the skills required) in times to come. Add how according to you that particular skill can contribute to a successful career in that position.
