Packages in UML organize different structural or behavioral features of the system into groups. These features are known as model elements. Packages makes UML diagram easy to understand. Packages are shown as a file folder in UML. Packages can be used in almost all diagrams and has a unique name.
Model Management aims to assist the model driven applications like UML, DFD’s to merge two or more models. A merge, which returns an integration of two models based on a mapping. Model Management needs to be generic.
