Have you ever made a mistake at work? How did you rectify it?

Have you ever made a mistake at work? How did you rectify it?

Answer 1 - Everybody makes mistakes, there's nothing wrong in admitting it. In the interview you can say that yes , there have been times when you have made mistakes and learnt from them. Whatever you could correct yourself, you did that and for the rest you went back to your senior and took his help to sort it out.

Answer 2 - The answer to this question should be given very smartly. Even though the answer may differ from person to person, avoid answers like “I don’t think I have made any mistake” , “I can never make mistakes” etc. This creates an over confident impression. Don’t try and mention something that may have an adverse effect. I rectified my mistakes by immediately consulting my manager or someone who was more experienced. I made it a point to not repeat it and learn out of it.
