The Selection Procedure in Bank of Baroda consists of a written test and a personal interview round. The written test comprises of objective type of questions. The questions in the written test cover topics like Socio – Economic & Banking Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Marketing Aptitude, Logical reasoning and English. The written test consists of around 200 questions to be completed in 2 hours’ time. There are 5 descriptive questions also in the written test paper which is to be completed in an hours’ time. The total written test is for 250 marks. The descriptive test consists of questions on written English skills like writing Comprehension, Letters and Essay’s.

Once you have successfully cleared the written test you are then eligible for the personal round of interview. The interviewer panel consists of 3 members usually and ask questions based on personal information and certain banking awareness. Some of the frequently asked questions are:

• How long have you been waiting outside?

• What subjects did you choose in Commerce stream?

• Have you had any conversation with the other job seekers sitting outside, how will you differentiate yourself from them?

• How do you plan to compete with the other job seekers, they being more qualified than you?

• On what basis should we hire you? How will the bank benefit from you?

• How will your chosen subjects help you in the banking field?

• What brings you to the banking industry, any motive or inspiration?

• Why did you just prepare for the Banking exams and not for any other fields exams?

• The Indian Banking industry is going through several challenges, what are those challenges?

• What is the importance of banking for each individual?

• Why should banks be nationalised in front of the government?

• Give the full form of VAT.

• Explain Direct tax.

• Explain Sales Tax.

• Are you ok to be posted in rural branches as well?

• Any other interviews have you given before this?

• If you are selected in the other company as well, which place would you prefer to join?

• What is GDP and explain the meaning of GDP?

• Explain the concept of VAT.

• Who Charges VAT and where does the amount of VAT go?
