Written Test

The first step of the placement process is the written test. The test is divided in four sections. It has been seen that there are around 60 questions with the total time of 60 minutes allotted to answer the test. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer.

English Ability

The first section of the written test is English ability. There will be around 10 questions in this section. The student can expect short passages. The student will have to read the passage carefully and answer the questions. Along with this, there will be questions based on synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion and basic vocabulary and grammar questions in this section.

Analytical Ability

In this section the students can expect questions based on data interpretation and logical reasoning. There will also be questions on topics such as puzzles, blood relations, statements.

Quantitative Ability

In this section the students can expect questions based on time and work, speed and distance, arithmetic, percentages, profit loss, geometry and algebra.

It has been observed that the written test pattern is not fixed; minor changes are made year to year.

Group Discussion

The students who successfully clear the written test qualify for the group discussion round. The students are divided in small groups and a topic is given for discussion.

Topics such as

• IT a boon or bane for India
• BPO’s in India

It has been seen that sometimes a telephonic interview is also conducted by Genpact. In the telephonic interview the students can expect basic questions about themselves.

Technical Interview

The students who successfully clear the group discussion round qualify for the technical Interview. In this round the students can expect questions based on their core subjects to check their knowledge.

Also, the students can expect questions based on their final year projects. The students can also expect questions based on C, C++ and JAVA.

HR Interview

This is the final round of the selection process. This round is conducted by the HR of the company. The students are expected to introduce himself/herself to the HR. The student can expect basic HR questions. Along with these the students can expect questions such as
