What is the syllabus for Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Exam?


MAT examination paper consists of five sections namely, Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency and Indian Global Environment. The section wise syllabus for MAT is:

- Language Comprehension –
Language comprehension again consists of two parts, i.e. Reading Comprehension and English vocabulary and Grammar. Vocabulary and grammar covers topics like synonyms and antonyms, Idioms, Fill in the blank, odd word out, Jumbled words and sentences, Para jumbles and sentence correction. In Reading comprehension passages were given followed by questions.

- Intelligence and Critical Reasoning –
In this section questions are on mathematical reasoning and verbal ability, covering topics like Analogy, series, statement – conclusion, blood relations, directions, Analytical Reasoning, Assertion Reason, Cause and effect etc.

- Mathematical Skills
This section of mathematical skills covers topics from various topics of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Cubes, Number System, and Probability etc.

- Data Analysis and Sufficiency
In Data Analysis and Sufficiency, the questions come from the topics of Caselet, bar graph, line graph, pie chart, mixed charts and graphs, table, data sufficiency and data comparison.

- Indian Global Environment

This section of Indian Global Environment contains questions of general knowledge and current affairs, which includes topics like business awareness, politics, sports, books and authors, entertainment and social issues.
