What are the limitations of standardising brands?


Not all companies opt for standardising brands. Its limitations are:

a.Stereotyping: eg.Germany for engineering or China for low price product. This makes the customer think that all products from China are low priced and inferior quality.

b.National brand loyalty: Patriotism of the people towards their nation and their perception that their own national brand is much more superior and reliable as compared to international brands.
