Reliance Jio Infocomm Signs Agreemnt With Tower Vision For 4G Telecom Network
The telecom arm of Reliance Industry Limited, Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) has just entered into an agreement with a mobile tower company Tower Vision for utilizing infrastructure for the 4G telecom network. This Master Service Agreement has been formed between Reliance Jio and Tower Vision. About 8400 towers of Tower Vision have been rolled in for the 4G operations.
Hi-speed 4G networks are a must if India has to take the step forward and join the digital revolution. The combination of towers that are being constructed and rented will ensure that there is adequate infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted access to users.
The partnership with Tower Vision India has been an important step in ensuring that Reliance Jio gains access to carefully selected sites covering strategic locations were data customers need uninterrupted high speed wireless coverage.
Following this agreement, RJIL will now have a high total number of available towers so that the network reaches around 1,88,400. Reliance Jio has already entered into agreemnts with leading companies such as Bharti Airtel, Viom Network, Reliance Communications and American Tower Company for infrastructure utilization.
Its agreement with Bharti Airtel has also paved the way for strong 4G networks in India. RJIL will now be able to access 82,000 mobile towers and the agreement with Reliance Communications will give access to a further 45,000 towers. Following recent deals with Viom Networks and ATC, a further 42,000 and 11,000 mobile network towers will be added to the repetoire of RJIL.
RJIL is going to launch 4G services during the July-September quarter. It currently holds pan Indian wireless access spectrum to be used for 4G services. It has also won the bid for 1800 Mhz known as 2G spectrum that can be used for 4G services across the globe. Both 4G technologies can be used to provide services.
RJIL is the first telecom operator in the nation to get unified license for all 22 services. The unified license is going to enable RJIL to offer telecom services including voice telephony. RIL's partnership has made it move near towards offering 4G services to Indian customers.
RJIL has also been reported to be studying devices of Samsung and ZTE in India. The 4G services of the Reliance company is said to be coming up with 49 Mbps speed. This is good news for all who want quality, high-speed internet which is 10 to 12 times faster than current 3G mobile speeds.
Bharti Airtel is also making waves with its launch of 4G on mobile services in Bangalore earlier in February. Bharti Airtel is one of the largest private telecom operators in the country and it has offered 4G services on Apple iPhone 5S and 5C. With the steps taken by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, the possibility of 4G network for all mobile devices is soon to become a reality.
RJIL aims to provide high speed networks for 4G so that users have more choices rather than relying on existing services. High speed internet can change the face of development in India.
