In exercise of the powers conferred by article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President appointed Shri Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee, senior-most Judge of the Karnataka High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from the date Shri Justice Dhirendra Hiralal Waghela relinquishes charge of the office of the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.

On 13 March 1997, six months before Mother Teresa's death in 1997, Sister Nirmala was chosen as the Superior General of the Missionaries of Charity. In April 2009, Sister Mary Prema was elected to succeed Sister Nirmala during a general chapter held in Calcutta.

He is a 1984 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. Y C Modi, who had been part of a Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) that probed 2002 Gujarat riots cases, has been appointed as Additional Director in the CBI.

Before joining the Ministry of MSME, Dr. Pujari was holding the charge of Secretary, Mines. Dr Anup K Pujari IAS (KN 80) joined as Secretary MSME here on 1st July’15. He succeeds Shri Madhav Lal who superannuated on June, 30 2015.

She succeeded P K Gupta, who was promoted as Chief Executive Officer of SBI Capital.

Journalist and writer Aakar Patel was appointed as Executive Director of Amnesty International (AI) India 18 June 2015. He will head AI India’s operations and its efforts to end human rights abuses in India and worldwide.

Niraj Antani, an Ohio State legislature and Janak Joshi, a Colorado State legislature, were on 18 June 2015 appointed to the board of the 2015-2016 Future Majority Project. The Board of FMP is chaired by T W Shannon, Chairman and former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

He is a 1980-batch officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), was the Special Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) till now.

Sudhir Bhargava former Secretary in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has been appointed as the Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission.

Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Bank, T.M. Bhasin has been appointed as the Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission.

He is the former Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes.

He is the senior most Information Commissioner.

She succeeded Jay Naidoo, who led GAIN in the global fight against malnutrition since its creation in 2002.

He is currently working as Chief Scientist at the IICT. The appointment was made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is President of the CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research).

Delhi Jal Board’s vice chairman Kapil Mishra will succeed Jitender Tomar as Delhi's law minister.

Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa’s appointment was necessitated after Lt General (Retired) Nirbhay Sharma was transferred to Mizoram. Rajkhowa was the former Chief Secretary of Assam. He is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from 1968 batch.

A 1980 batch IAS officer, Mr. Pipersenia has earlier rendered his services in various capacities. He is the 45th Chief Secretary of Assam.

Mr. Saakashvili is widely credited with carrying out radical reforms in Georgia during his terms in office in 2004-13. However, current Georgian authorities accuse him of abuse of power and have demanded his extradition. Mr Saakashvili left Georgia after his term as President ended in 2013.
